I Have Not Forgotten You
One Sunday morn, so quiet and still, The Lord spoke softly with gentle will, “There is a soul who feels alone, Who thinks they’re lost, by Me unknown.”
“Thus saith the Lord, I dwell on high, In holy courts beyond the sky, Yet with the one bowed low in heart, I stay so near, I won’t depart.”
“A broken spirit I’ll not despise, Each tear is seen before My eyes, All of My children dear to Me, And you, My child, most tenderly.”
“I’ve not forgotten—never so, You’re precious more than you may know, The apple of My watchful eye, I guard you well, I’m ever nigh.”
“And those who dare to wound your soul, Touch Me as well—I feel it whole, For I am near in all you face, Surrounding you with love and grace.”
“I know your pain, I understand, Each disappointment life has planned, The silent hurts, the hidden cries, Are never lost before My eyes.”
“But hear Me now, don’t be dismayed, My love for you has never swayed, From ages past to this same hour, My love remains in constant power.”
“The fall is not your greatest sin, But staying down and giving in, Rise once again, take hold, press through, For I, your God, still walk with you.”
“So do not turn from love so true, For all I’ve done is meant for you, Lift up your heart, begin anew— My child, My child… I’ve not forgotten you.”
