Sermon: “When God Steps into Your Story”
Text: Daniel 6; Isaiah 43:2; Psalm 34:19
Introduction
Beloved, every one of us faces a moment when life backs us into a corner.
A moment when fear whispers, “This is the end.”
A moment when the world expects us to bow, break, or give up.
But today, I came to remind you: God always steps into the story of those who remain faithful to Him.
Just like Daniel in the lions’ den, God still shuts mouths. God still sends angels. God still rescues.
**Point 1 — **Faithfulness Is Tested, Not Wasted
Daniel wasn’t thrown into the lions’ den because he did something wrong.
He was thrown in because he did what was right.
Sometimes your obedience to God will get you into trouble with people—but it will never get you into trouble with God.
- Daniel prayed daily
- Daniel honoured God
- Daniel stood firm
- Daniel refused compromise
And heaven was watching.
When you honour God in private, God honours you in public.
Your faithfulness may be tested, but it will never be wasted.
**Point 2 — **God Does His Best Work in the Dark Places
The lions’ den was dark.
Cold.
Hopeless.
Humanly impossible.
And yet, that is where God sent His angel.
Some of you may feel like you’re in a “den” right now.
- A den of fear
- A den of sickness
- A den of financial struggle
- A den of confusion
- A den of attacks from people
But God is saying to you today:
“I do My best work in the dark places. That’s where My power shines the brightest.”
If the lions didn’t touch Daniel, they won’t touch you.
If God preserved him, He will preserve you.
If God can turn a den into a deliverance story, He can turn your situation around too.
**Point 3 — **Your Deliverance Will Become Your Testimony
When Daniel was brought out of the den, the Bible says “there was no wound found on him.”
No bite. No scar. No evidence of the enemy’s attack.
God didn’t just bring him out—He brought him out without damage.
Some of you will walk out of what you’re facing, and the only evidence will be the testimony on your lips.
People will look at you and say:
- “How did you survive that?”
- “How did you stay strong?”
- “How did you keep trusting God?”
And you will say:
“Because my God sent His angel.”
Your story will preach louder than your words.
Your miracle will evangelize.
Your breakthrough will glorify God.
Your testimony will strengthen others.
Final Encouragement
Hear the Word of the Lord today:
📖 “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you… When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned.” — Isaiah 43:2
📖 “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.” — Psalm 34:19
God is not late.
He’s not ignoring you.
He’s not forgotten your prayers.
He is preparing your deliverance.
He is sending His angel.
He is writing your testimony.
Just like Daniel—keep praying.
Keep trusting.
Keep standing.
Because the God who rescued Daniel…
Is the same God who will rescue you.
Amen.
