Psalm 78 – Remember His Works

Remember His wonders, remember His grace,
Remember the mercy that followed each place.
He opened the waters and guided by light,
A pillar of cloud through the day and the night.

He rained down the manna from heaven above,
And fed His own people with kindness and love.
He brought water forth from the rock in the sand,
And carried His children with His mighty hand.

Yet often they murmured and wandered astray,
Forgetting His goodness from day unto day.
But God in compassion was faithful and true,
His mercy enduring, His promises too.

He called us to teach every daughter and son,
The wonderful works that the Lord has done.
That each generation may trust and obey,
And walk in His wisdom throughout every day.

He chose faithful David to shepherd His sheep,
To guide them with love and His covenant keep.
And now our Good Shepherd, the Lord from above,
Still leads us with mercy and everlasting love.

So let us remember, and never depart,
But treasure God’s Word in the depths of our heart.
For generations to come may they say,

“Great is the Lord, and faithful always.”

Psalm 78:4

“We will not hide them from their children, telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and His strength, and His wonderful works that He hath done.”
