Psalm Chapter 63 - Poem

Psalm 63 – My Soul Thirsts for Thee

In desert lands so dry and bare,
I lift my heart to God in prayer.
No stream I see, no cooling rain,
Yet in His presence I find gain.

My soul thirsts for the Living Lord,
More than silver, gold, or sword.
The world may offer passing cheer,
But God alone is ever near.

His lovingkindness lights my way,
And holds me through the darkest day.
His mercy shines, His grace is free,
A boundless gift bestowed on me.

When shadows fall and night draws near,
I rest in Him and know no fear.
Upon my bed I think of Him,
Though earthly hopes may fade and dim.

Beneath His wings I safely hide,
With Christ my Shepherd, Friend, and Guide.
His mighty hand upholds me still,
And gently leads me by His will.

Though wilderness surrounds my road,
My heart rejoices in my God.
For He alone can satisfy,
And lift my weary soul on high.

So while I live, His name I’ll praise,
And worship Him through all my days.
Until I see His face above,
And dwell forever in His love.
