A Poem on Psalm 97

The Lord reigns high upon His throne,
The King whose glory stands alone;
Let all the earth rejoice today,
For God still rules in every way.

Though clouds and darkness hide His face,
His throne is built on truth and grace;
His justice shines, His judgments stand,
He holds the nations in His hand.

The lightning flashes through the sky,
The mountains melt, the hills comply;
Creation bows before His name,
Forever God remains the same.

Let idols fall, let false gods cease,
They cannot give the soul true peace;
Only Jesus saves from sin,
And brings new life and joy within.

Ye who love the Lord above,
Walk in holiness and love;
Turn from evil, choose the right,
Walk each day within His light.

Though shadows gather, dark and deep,
The Shepherd still His own will keep;
His faithful hand will safely guide,
For Christ is always by our side.

A harvest bright of joy is sown,
For those who trust in God alone;
The dawn will break, the night will end,
Our Saviour is our faithful Friend.

So lift your voice in grateful praise,
And worship Him through all your days;
The King of kings shall ever reign,
His glorious kingdom shall remain.

The Lord reigns! Let every heart rejoice,Let every nation lift its voice;For Jesus Christ, the risen King,Is Lord of all—let heaven sin
