Poem Psalms Chapter 7
Here is a rhyming poem based on Psalm 7:
O Lord my God, in You I hide,
My refuge strong, my place, my guide.
When voices rise and lies are cast,
I run to You and hold You fast.
Like lions fierce, they seek my fall,
With sharpened words, they loudly call.
Yet in the storm, I will not fear,
For God my shield is ever near.
If I have sinned, then let me see,
Search every hidden part of me.
If I have wronged, then I will bow,
But if not so—Lord, help me now.
Arise, O Lord, let justice wake,
For truth is more than men can make.
You see the heart, You know the way,
You judge the night as well as day.
The wicked plan, they dig so deep,
Their secret traps, their cunning keep.
Yet what they build shall be their fall,
Their pit shall answer to it all.
For sin returns upon its head,
The path of lies by which it’s led.
What’s sown in dark will come to light,
And wrong shall never conquer right.
My shield is God, both just and true,
He sees what none else ever knew.
Though time may pass and silence stay,
His judgment comes in perfect way.
So I will praise, though storms remain,
Though heart still bears the weight of pain.
For God is good, His ways are sure,
His truth forever shall endure.
