Psalm 60 – Through God We Shall Do Valiantly

When troubles came on every side,
And fear walked closely by their side,
King David bowed his head to pray,
And sought the Lord without delay.

The earth seemed shaken, hearts were sore,
As battles raged from shore to shore,
The nation trembled in its plight,
Yet still he trusted God for might.

“O Lord, we’ve wandered from Your way,
Have mercy on Your people, pray;
Restore the breach, heal every land,
And guide us by Your mighty hand.”

Though enemies stood strong and tall,
And danger cast a gloomy pall,
David remembered God above,
Whose throne is built on truth and love.

The Lord who made the stars at night,
Who called the sun to give its light,
Still ruled the nations near and far,
Still held creation where they are.

No sword alone could win the day,
No earthly strength could clear the way,
For victory comes from God on high,
Who hears the humble sinner’s cry.

When trials come and hopes grow dim,
Lift up your eyes and trust in Him,
The God who helped His saints of old
Still keeps His promises untold.

So let your faith arise once more,
Though storms may beat upon the shore,
For God remains both strong and true,
And He will see His children through.

Through God we’ll stand, through God we’ll fight,
Through God we’ll walk by faith, not sight,
And when the battle’s finally won,
We’ll praise the Father and the Son.

“Through God we shall do valiantly.” – Psalm 60:12

God is a good God.

God knows, God loves, God cares.
