Poem based and inspired by Chapter 12
Here is a rhyming poem based on Psalm 12
“When Words Are False” — Psalm 12 Poem
Help, O Lord, the faithful fade,
Truth is lost, and hearts betrayed,
Lips speak fair, yet lies they hide,
Double tongues walk side by side.
Every word so smooth and sweet,
Yet deceit lies at its feet,
Flattering mouths rise high in pride,
While truth is cast and pushed aside.
“They say our tongues will win the day,
Our lips are ours—who dares to say?”
They boast aloud with hearts so cold,
As if no God their words behold.
But God has heard the poor man’s cry,
The needy soul, the heavy sigh,
“For their oppression, I will rise,
I see their tears, I hear their cries.”
“I will protect, I will defend,
And bring them safety in the end,
Though wicked words may fill the land,
They fall before My righteous hand.”
For every word the Lord has said
Is pure as silver, refined and spread,
No lie within, no hidden stain,
His truth forever will remain.
So though the world speaks proud and loud,
And wickedness walks bold and proud,
The Lord will keep His own secure,
His word stands strong, His promise sure.
Let men speak lies and boast in vain,
Their words will fall, they will not reign,
But God’s true voice will still endure—
Forever faithful, forever pure.
