Poem on Psalm Chapter 43
A Poem on Psalm 43
The storm clouds gathered round my soul,
The waves of sorrow took their toll,
My heart grew weak, my eyes grew dim,
Yet still’ I cried’ and called to Him.
“Lord, send Your light to lead my way,
Turn this dark and fearful day,
For truth from You can calm the sea,
And bring a weary heart to Thee.”
Though voices rise and shadows fall,
The Lord still hears His children call,
When friends may fail and hope grows small,
God’s faithful hand still holds us all.
Why should my troubled soul despair?
Why carry burdens filled with care?
The God who formed the stars above
Still watches over me in love.
So I will trust though tears may flow,
For God sees things I cannot know,
And in the night His voice I’ll praise,
Until He turns my dark to days.
For sorrow never has the last word,
When hearts still cling unto the Lord,
And though the valley may seem long,
God gives the weak a stronger song. GeorgesWebMinistries.com
