Psalm 62 – My Soul Waits Upon God

My soul waits quietly upon the Lord,
Trusting His unchanging, faithful Word.
When storms arise and shadows fall,
He is my refuge, my strength, my all.

The world may tremble, kingdoms fade,
Yet on God’s Rock my feet are stayed.
Though troubles gather like clouds above,
I rest secure within His love.

Many trust in wealth and fame,
Seeking honour, seeking name.
But riches vanish, crowns grow dim,
My hope is found alone in Him.

When friends disappoint and hearts grow cold,
God’s promises remain as gold.
His mercy shines both day and night,
Guiding His children by His light.

So I will pour my heart before His throne,
For I am never left alone.
The God of power, strong and true,
Knows every fear I’m passing through.

He is my fortress, my salvation sure,
His love forever shall endure.
My soul waits quietly, calm and free,
For all my hope is found in Thee.
