Psalm 81 – Listen to His Voice

Sing unto the Lord with all your might,
Lift up your heart in joyful delight.
For God who saved and set you free,
Still calls His children lovingly.

Remember how He broke the chain,
And carried Israel through the pain.
He heard their cry, He knew their need,
And proved Himself in every deed.

Yet many turned and walked away,
Ignoring what the Lord would say.
They chose the path that pleased their eye,
And wondered later, “Lord, oh why?”

God’s heart still speaks with tender grace,
“My child, return and seek My face.
Oh, if My people would but hear,
I’d draw them close and keep them near.”

I’d fight their battles, calm their fears,
And wipe away their hidden tears.
With finest wheat I’d fill their hand,
And bless them from My loving hand.

Today His voice still gently calls,
To great and small, to one and all.
His arms are open, full of love,
Leading us to our home above.

So hear His voice while yet you may,
Don’t turn His loving heart away.
For those who trust and will obey,
Will find His blessing day by day.

“Oh that My people had hearkened unto Me, and Israel had walked in My ways.” – Psalm 81:13
