Avoid the Mud Pile Poem

There lies a muddy path below,
Where angry words so freely flow;
Where truth is lost in pride and strife,
And bitterness consumes a life.

The world cries, “Fight! Stand your ground!”
While hatred’s echoes all abound.
Yet Christ still calls with voice so mild,
“My servant, walk as Heaven’s child.”

There are wrongs we must not hide,
Nor turn away, nor step aside;
The weak deserve a faithful friend,
Whose voice brings hope until the end.

Speak for those who cannot speak,
Lift the fallen, help the weak;
But let your words be filled with grace,
Reflecting Christ in every place.

The serpent teaches wisdom’s way,
To know the right time and the day;
To guard the heart, to count the cost,
Lest truth itself should yet be lost.

The gentle dove reminds us too,
To keep our motives pure and true;
No malice, vengeance, spite or pride,
But Christ alone our faithful Guide.

The mud pile calls with every fight,
To answer darkness, not with light;
But Jesus says, “Come follow Me,”
And walk the path of victory.

For truth needs not an angry voice,
Nor bitterness to make its choice;
God’s Spirit works through hearts made clean,
Where love and righteousness are seen.

So keep your eyes upon the Lord,
Walk daily by His holy Word;
Stand firm for truth, yet love impart,
With wisdom filling every heart.

Avoid the mud where many fall;
Let Christ alone become your all.
Be wise, be gentle, faithful prove—
A serpent’s wisdom, a dove’s love.
