Psalm 85 – “Revive Us Again”Poem

“Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?” – Psalm 85:6

Lord, we’ve seen Your mighty hand,
Bring peace and blessing to our land.
You pardoned sin, Your grace was shown,
And called us back to be Your own.

The years have passed, our hearts grown cold,
We’ve chased the new and left the old.
Yet still Your mercy calls today,
To turn our wandering hearts Your way.

Revive us, Lord, let heaven fall,
Awaken hearts, both great and small.
Restore the joy we once had known,
And lead us to Your holy throne.

Let mercy meet with truth once more,
As at the Cross on Calvary’s shore.
Where righteousness and peace embraced,
And sinners found amazing grace.

Speak, Lord, we’ll listen to Your voice,
In You alone our hearts rejoice.
For every promise You have made
Has never failed, nor ever swayed.

When truth springs up from earthly ground,
And heaven’s righteousness is found,
The desert blooms, the harvest grows,
Where living streams of mercy flow.

So breathe anew upon this land,
Guide us with Your loving hand.
Revive Your Church, Your light display,
Until the dawn of that great Day.

For You are faithful, strong, and true,
Your mercies every morning new.
Our hope is fixed on Christ alone,
The King who one day claims His own.

Revive us, Lord, our earnest plea;Restore our hearts to worship Thee.
Till every tongue and nation sing,“All glory to our Saviour King!”
