Here’s an original poem inspired by Psalm 91.

Under His Wings – Psalm 91

He is my Refuge, strong and true,
My Fortress when the storms break through.
The world may shake, the winds may roar,
Yet in His care I fear no more.

The secret place is calm and still,
Where hearts are shaped to know His will.
There faith grows strong, and hope takes flight,
Beneath His everlasting light.

Though darkness walks the silent night,
Or arrows fly in morning’s light,
The Lord remains forever near,
To quiet every anxious fear.

His wings of mercy spread so wide,
Beneath their shadow I will hide.
No earthly shelter can compare
With God’s unfailing love and care.

His truth shall be my shield each day,
To guide my feet along the way.
His faithful Word, a shining flame,
Still glorifies His holy name.

Though troubles rise and trials come,
I know I do not walk alone.
For God has promised, loud and clear,
“I will be with thee; never fear.”

His angels watch where I must tread,
By paths where He Himself has led.
Unseen by human eyes they stand,
Directed by His mighty hand.

The lion’s roar, the serpent’s sting,
Cannot defeat the King of kings.
For Christ has conquered sin and grave,
He lives forever, strong to save.

So I will trust through joy and pain,
Through sunshine bright and falling rain.
My life is safely in His hand,
Held by His wise and sovereign plan.

One day my earthly race shall cease,
And I shall enter perfect peace.
The God who kept me all life through
Will welcome me to Heaven anew.

So let my heart forever sing,
Safe in the shadow of the King.
For those who trust the Lord above
Are sheltered by His endless love.

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” – Psalm 91:1
