Psalm 58
“The Judge Above All Judges”
When justice walks with weary feet,
And truth lies fallen in the street,
When voices loud defend the wrong,
And evil seems both proud and strong,
The hearts of many ache within,
Surrounded by the noise of sin,
For rulers fail and systems bend,
And few seem faithful to the end.
Yet high above the courts of men,
There stands a Judge beyond their ken,
Whose eyes can see through every lie,
Whose truth no darkness can deny.
The wicked boast, the proud arise,
With poison hidden in disguise,
Their words may wound, their deeds may sting,
Yet God still reigns, the eternal King.
For though the righteous often weep,
The Lord their cries shall safely keep,
No tear is lost, no pain ignored,
Each sorrow known before the Lord.
So leave revenge within His hand,
For justice walks at His command,
And though the night seems long and grim,
The morning still belongs to Him.
One day all wrongs shall be made right,
And darkness flee before His light,
The proud shall fade like mist away,
But truth shall shine like endless day.
So trust the Lord through troubled years,
Through heavy hearts and hidden tears,
For Heaven’s Judge is faithful still,
And all shall bow before His will.
