Psalm 65 – A Song of Praise
Praise waits for God upon the throne,
The King of kings, the Lord alone;
To Him our grateful hearts we raise,
And fill our mouths with songs of praise.
When sins like mighty waves arise,
And guilt would darken all our skies,
His mercy greater still shall be,
For grace flows wide and full and free.
Blessed are those He draws so near,
Who find His presence precious, dear;
Within His courts they gladly stand,
Secure beneath His loving hand.
The mountains rise at His command,
Established by His mighty hand;
The roaring seas He calms with ease,
And speaks His peace upon the breeze.
The nations see His wondrous power,
Displayed in every day and hour;
From east to west His glory shines,
His hand through all creation winds.
He sends the rain upon the earth,
And gives the waiting fields their birth;
The furrows drink the heaven’s dew,
And life springs up in every view.
The valleys sing with golden grain,
The hills rejoice beneath the rain;
The flocks adorn the pasture green,
God’s faithful goodness there is seen.
The earth is crowned with blessings sweet,
As mercy and provision meet;
Each season tells His loving care,
Each harvest proves that He is there.
O Lord, who hears the sinner’s cry,
Whose power fills both earth and sky,
May all my days Your praise proclaim,
And magnify Your holy name.
For You forgive, provide, and guide,
With endless love You stand beside;
And all creation joins the song,
Declaring You to whom belong
All glory, honour, praise, and might,
Through every day and every night;
Till heaven and earth together raise
One endless hymn of grateful praise.
“Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.” — Psalm 65:11
